Now that our coast to coast (north to south) is complete, we decided on a bus ride into the gritty city of Almeria and what a gem it turned out to be including it’s magnificent Alcazaba, unlike Granada’s Alhambra where you have to purchase tickets three days in advance. This one is just as impressive and comes with free entrance, panoramic mediterranean views and just a trickle of tourists.
