Thursday 10th June

We made our way to the Delta of the Rio Ebro, this mighty river meanders its way from Fontibre in Northern Spain to the Mediterranean on Catalonia’s southern border. The Delta is home to most of Catalonia’s rice growing industry, a 77 sq km wetland bird habitat, a salt mining industry and a guestimate of over 50 km of beaches with hard packed sand for driving and cycling along so called sandways.
