We’ve finally left the cactus behind and replaced them with rice paddies and citrus groves on our journey north to Valencia.

Valencia is Spain’s 3rd largest city and is now chomping at the heels of Barcelona for the title of cultural capital.

Today's excursion was to the 350,000 sq meter site of the ‘City of Arts and Sciences’, the architectural imaginative genius of local boy Santiago Calatrava and Felix Candela.
